Today we learnt how to use the tracking tool in Nuke, I was surprised how similar it is to other tracking that I’ve used before. We were give stock footage of a chines street where you have people walking past a small stand, I had to track the old sings of this food stand and replace it with our own, after this we imported another clip of the same street but different angle. This one was more challenging as we had to use a different tequnice to track the sings. Overall this wasn’t as hard or challenging as I thought it would be a lot of the nodes I used before I could just re-use to save time, there were some minor changes I had to make to these nodes.
Finally, we were allowed to use are own footage and we had a 30 minute challenge to import are own footage and track it to the best of our abilities, my first attempt was to have a Jagger and Kajuii from Pacific Rim with a fly over shot of New York, but this took a lot longer (with the camera nodes and finding images that faced in the correct direction) so I gave up and tracked a car I was able to change the licenses plate, hood, dashboard sticker and add a couple sticker of my own. But I made the mistake of not selecting all of the nodes on the tracker so a couple of the images stretched out as the car drove past.
