Visualisation lecture by James Curtis.
He originally studied architecture at Oxford University and now has his own privet firm that works closely with Rich and Roger an architecture firm based in London. They primarily forces on Hotels, Apartments and private homes/buildings.
James Curtis started by explain the process that he has to go through when a client gives them a new project, They start with a 2D plans that the architecture provides, them with measurements of the building and the grounds it covers, this in turn allows James to make a very simple 3D model of the building called “White cheese” (Because the model is white with no textures and a simple lighting effect, they show this work to the client who then talk to them about textures, colours and lighting after they complete a second render the architecture looks at it and talks to them about what’s the location like (Hills, Trees, building ) this so that they can start working on the lighting. After this is complete it’s a back and forth between them doing smaller changes such as adding 2D or 3D people and shadows.
