Today we learnt about rotoscooping we carried on using the clip of rob walking with the green screen background, first we created a new constant afterwards I added a roto, zoomed into robs left leg played the clip a couple of times until I knew how high he lifted his leg then I did a quick roto around his upper body, went back to his leg and started rotoscooping out that with more care going though frame by frame to make sure that I did it right, one of the things I took away from this lesson was how much I enjoyed it, I’ve used the roto tool in after effects before but people told me that Nuke is a lot harder. I know were only doing 50 frames but it wasn’t as bad as people made it out to be and I’m looking forward to doing more in the future.
