Today we learnt how to do day to night in nuke, we started by adding an exposure node to are image the exposure node is pretty, black point allows you to find the darkest part of your image, densities

Gang it “gangs” up all the densities tighter (just like exposure on a camera) as most colour nodes there an option for a mask but we do not need that today. Are image still needs some work because it still colour full and we don’t see as many colours during the night, I added a grade nod brought down the black points up the white points downed the grain, finally I added colour correct downed the saturation until I got a bluish tint and brought down the grain. So this was a quick way to do a day to night, I carried on because the next step was just playing around with the three nodes.

Later on, we added windows to try to give the image some light , I started off by cutting around some windows to get there alpha channel the added it to the background of my image added a copy, roto, premult and merge node.
