Today we saw two short film both using visual effects in different way the first one was done by Fernando Livschitz this one was filmed a bit like a holiday film a low angle as if you were looking up at the roller coaster there were a lot of cuts and by having people look up and take photos/videos really gave it a sense of realism, one of the issue was the motion blur as the roller coaster moved faster the blur didn't change. The second short was by Arev Manoukien which had a bigger budget, industry style pipeline, seemed well planned and thought out. It's opening shot was really nice but it was just too clean some of the objects looked flat and the glass, water and car looked amazing but way too clean it was just something that budget me whitest I was watching it.

After this we were put in groups of 3 to talk about our own Flat-Pack ideas individually we have to come up with our own idea that must include foreground, background and mid-ground also must have parallax’s, pull-focus and day to night. Each one can be handed in separately or in one whole video (haven’t thought how I'm going to hand it)

My flat-pack is going to be either the river bank or street that Frances house is on both have an open area that gives me a ton of room to add lots of wildlife, the first senses of nature taking over is grass, moss, cracks and some fugges followed by trees and vines these take longer to grow, Taking some inspiration from the game The Last Of Us which is set 7 years after a zombie outbreak, now I don't want to do the whole zombie thing coz that's been done way too much. I want to focus on what these streets would look like if people just up and left and we fast forward 10 years.
