Victorian slap comp

For the duration of this week I have been using the images we took on Friday and looking through these images to find some that I liked and could use in my Victorian skalla comp, after finding a wall, door frame and lion head I went right and stared cutting out the images, on Wednesday I realised that my door frame and wall images don't match, this meant that I had to re-do my whole process again my second attempt is a lot better as I have thought and planed before starting my edit, I started by finding 4 images I liked brought them in to Photoshop and just very ruffly slapped comp so that I could get an idea of how the images would look after rearguing them a couple of times I had my draft I started by removing any wires or security boxes anything that wasn't Victorian then I removed the over exposed sky with a cloudy dark sky that has a moon, scaled the moon down to make it more realistic finally I used the brush tool to go over any areas where the old sky had spilled over. Added a lamppost with a small amount of whit/yellowish light (I think it needs more but going to wait for the feedback sessions)

Feedback

Over all its was better than I expected the only things that came up were that I should change the sky as everyone use clouds and moons, it also ruins the overall image as I’ve put a lot of time into changing small details (wires, cables and windows).Saint also suggested to add more light refection on the windows and to maybe think about adding a small pool of water. So after the feedback session I went to the media labs and cut out the building at the end replaced it with a church tower (scaled way down) replaced the cloudy sky with just a dark sky that had some tree in the far distances finally I added candles to each lamppost and a small amount of light refection.
